Set in a great location 15 minute walk to the high Street with great pubs and shops and 5 minute drive to bowness , great views of lake windemere from the hotel grounds. staff were exceptional very helpful and welcoming.especially one young lady but unfortunately can not remember her name rooms very clean with tea coffee and a kettle,. Ironing board,iron, hairdryer t.v. there is a little enclosed pen at the back for your pet to roam free. And very pet friendly Rooms a decent size with shower over the bath. some people say the hotel is outdated I like to think of it as authentic as I like the manor vibe if you don't like victorian style decor your best going to stay in a Premier Inn. breakfast is help yourself between 8-10am with sausage bacon eggs beans hash browns toast there is a selection of cereals and pastries and tea coffee fresh juice I would definitely stay here again

Had a lovely overnight stay here, The room was lovely and clean and spacious. The only thing was the bed wasn't quite big enough for myself and my husband......and he actually fell out of bed. The food was plentiful and portions were ample sized. The breakfast was all self serve. The staff were all lovely and welcoming . Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived so we're advised to have a drink in the bar why we waited. Only advice I woukd probably give is that they don't tell you when you check in about booking a table for evening meal so we went really early for ours to make sure we got a table and woukd of liked to go a little later but didn't want to risk it. Overall a pleasant stay and woukd stay again but probably upgrade to ensure a bigger bed.

I slept in this paradise 2 nights, the room was clean the bathroom also in the room there was also the ironing board and the iron, the kettle with coffee, and tea bags.etc etc. The swimming pool is Fantastic.The breakfast was delicious, bacon, beans, scrambled eggs, coffee cappuccino croissants, juices etc etc, I also had dinner one evening only, I ordered a sirloin steak medium rare it was a delight. cooked to perfection, congratulations to the legendary and professional Chef, thanks also to the girl and the boy who served me. Thanks also to the boy who serves breakfast in the morning very professional friendly and very courteous. I enjoyed it very much Thanks to everyone. I recommend this hotel/restaurant in Windermere.

Windermere Manor Hotel is such a beautiful building to look at, and the surrounding gardens are very nice to sit in and read a book. I forst noticed how peaceful the place is, just listening to the sounds of nature. The hotel restaurant is split into 4 sections, a bar area, lounge, conservatory, and chapel, food was very nice, and reasonably priced, and staff very friendly. Hotel is located close to Bowness and Windermere Village, if you like going for walks there's local hiking trails, and Orrest Head view point is 30 mins away by walking. Swimming pool was a bonus, was expecting it to be busy however had the pool all to myself on my first morning. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed in an Annex room with a patio. Very nice and comfortable, although quite near a road junction so some noise, but not too bad. The Annex has some more parking spaces if main Hotel car park is full. Hotel location is good, with a nice view. Food is quite good, we ate at Hotel restaurant every night as it was reasonably priced. The hotel pool is nice, we swam there a couple of times. You get the evening sun shining through the windows. We walked to Bowness one day, but a bit far to do every day. Staff were pleasant.
